  In the Kingdom of Morocco, Throne Day commemorates the day the current King took possession of his throne, being a holiday and therefore non-working day. The present King Mohammed VI of Morocco took office on July 30, 1999. Every year various activities and official ceremonies are held on that day in all the cities of the country, the most important being the Speech from the Throne, in which the media National media broadcast the King's official speech.
